New listing in Eugenies gate 16 is a renovation project with allot of potential.
The apartment is in Bølteløkka just minutes away from our offices in Majorstua and close to the surrounding areas of Bislett and St.Hanshaugen.
Within the first hour of the ad going live on finn.no – the listing has already received such an awesome response. Interested buyers calling to make sure the property doesn’t sell before the first open house viewings.
I really enjoyed this shoot and the styling of this apartment. Presentation is key, even if the apartment is one this is a total renovation – there is always value is presenting it out to the market. Our model we used on this shoot, has been used on a similiar project with our founder at BOA Tommy Friestad and that sold for several hundred thousand over the valuation and more importantly way above the average sqm price in the area.
Our model was such a pleasure to have on board as she totally captured a warm and cosy feeling in the apartment and made our photographs so much more engaging.
The style of this apartment was retro inspired and was done by our awesome styling team. Click here to the link to the ad so see more photographs.
Wallpapers are tricky. It took me some time to get to this, only because I have to really love a wallpaper to have it in my home. If I feel that way, I bet there are others like me that feel the same.
It is a very personal choice. But, it is great to get inspiration and figure out what style you are going for in a room and how a wallpaper can help achieve it.
I adore papers from Elitis, Zoffany & Harlequin. I like textured papers, with some silk or sheen to it. And, i think for it to work in a room – good lighting is a must and the right accessories should be used to pull off the look.
In our new home, I will be doing one wall in our dining room. I’m keen on a dark wall with metallic finishes and great lighting in the room. I have ordered samples – so looking forward to getting started!
Recently I have been going to different stores having a look at bar stools. We have some in our kitchen, white easy to clean bar stools. However, the quality on them wasn’t that good and the paint has started fading. So, I will try get them sold and get new one’s for the next house.
Here are some of the types I have been looking at. Bar stools can really frame a kitchen, and give a unique look to the room. It is fun shopping around for new one’s and trying to see which one’s will best for our new kitchen. Of course, keeping within a budget but making sure I get good quality chairs this time around!
Front doors are like big statement pieces and lift up the look of any home. Looking at properties while we were in the US recently, I always looked at the magnificent detailing of the front doors – it was the first thing i noticed and told a story of what the rest of the house was like.
Growing up in South Africa, with exceptional interior architects, I got to see stunning homes with magnificent finishes. Earlier this year, we were in Cape Town and again on viewings I got to see big bold beautiful doors, leading you into designer homes. We even got to see an apartment where the owner got the rights to change out their door, it gave the apartment big selling appeal compared with other units in the building on sale.
Sharing some of my door-fascination with you, in this mondays lookbook …
Growing up, I had a mom and dad who enjoyed their weekend nursery trips, getting beautiful plants and flowers to fill our garden. I sadly, am pretty hopeless with gardening. Our new home will luckily be of a more manageable size, and easy to maintain.
I do sway for the more modern looking garden designs. The clean simplicity of the wood with the manicured greenery along with the natural stones – is just so elegantly beautiful.
Here is this weeks inspiration! I do think you can adapt these designs to fit different size gardens and even a rooftop garden.I definitely reccomend finding a good landscape architect in your area.
Adding mirrored pieces to rooms isn’t a new trend. But, i do like that it has become so mainstream so that there are many pieces you could find out in the stores to fit your room and your budget. It gives a room instant style and glam!
Here are some pieces I found for this weeks lookbook, enjoy!
Hotel design styles are to me minimalistic sophistication and it is the kind of styles which are easy to recreate at home. I really enjoy the simple, chic & modern designs. The top hotels of the world use some of most talented designers and creative teams, and going through the photographs of rooms at the W, Mondrian, and my favourite The Delano – gives me such great inspiration.
The Delano, is an all white theme so it is obviously something I will have to wait with till my daughters are a little older. But, it is one of my favourite hotel rooms that we have stayed at in Florida. The pictures don’t measure up, the views we had coupled with the all white rooms was a fantastic experience!
