Chevron and hemmingbone floors are being featured allot in top home decor and interior magazines and it’s not hard to see why.
I can’t say that I have always liked the flooring pattern. It used to give me a really out-of-date feeling, mostly because I remember my grandmothers house having these floors. But, after seeing the chevron and hemmingbone floors appear so often in glossy magazines they have been growing on me. They give a room such character and understated boldness.
Chevron has been a hot trend in the fashion industry and is only natural for it to find it’s way into housing design. Hemmingbone floors share a similar pattern but they are distinct patterns.

New listing in Eugenies gate 16 is a renovation project with allot of potential.
The apartment is in Bølteløkka just minutes away from our offices in Majorstua and close to the surrounding areas of Bislett and St.Hanshaugen.
Within the first hour of the ad going live on finn.no – the listing has already received such an awesome response. Interested buyers calling to make sure the property doesn’t sell before the first open house viewings.
I really enjoyed this shoot and the styling of this apartment. Presentation is key, even if the apartment is one this is a total renovation – there is always value is presenting it out to the market. Our model we used on this shoot, has been used on a similiar project with our founder at BOA Tommy Friestad and that sold for several hundred thousand over the valuation and more importantly way above the average sqm price in the area.
Our model was such a pleasure to have on board as she totally captured a warm and cosy feeling in the apartment and made our photographs so much more engaging.
The style of this apartment was retro inspired and was done by our awesome styling team. Click here to the link to the ad so see more photographs.
So excited to be back with mondays lookbook!
What are your thoughts about the banana leaf wallpaper?
It’s been used in the famous Beverly Hills Hotel. I was super lucky to stay at this hotel when I was younger, and I remember all the extravagant materials and details of the hotel so well. I would love to be able to go back there again, and see the place all over again.
Even though it’s probably a big commitment to choose a wallpaper with that much pattern, I think that with the right accessories the right look can be achieved. The coloring of the leaves pair really nicely with gold accessories and wooden detaisl. I think it brings so much of energy to a room, and can create a really fun mood in a smaller spaced room.
We have a guest bathroom which I am looking at getting done, it is a small space but I am keen on finding this wallpaper and creating a really lovely space.
We will be having the first of the open house showings this evening at Smedgata 35. Even before the viewing we have received very positive feedback and more importantly very interested buyers ready to place their bids.

This will be 2016’s first showing for me. I love my job as a broker, and I especially love showings because I genuinely enjoy meeting up with people and helping them to find their dream home or new investment.
Have a good day!
This year started off with bang for the property market in Oslo.
Prices just in the city have increased by 10% conservatively. There are many properties listed in already in the first month, making it easy for buyers to be selective with their choices.
After spending the holiday season in South Africa and celebrating the New Year there, I landed in Oslo and just hours later met and secured a property which I am looking forward to showing end of January.
It is good to get back to routines and starting new projects!
How has your 2016 been treating you so far?
