Last night, I went to a viewing of new house in Nordstrand Oslo. The location is great, with beautiful views. The brokers were very helpful, giving me all the practical information about the area and what the area offered for my kids who would be going to the schools in the area.
Hotel design styles are to me minimalistic sophistication and it is the kind of styles which are easy to recreate at home. I really enjoy the simple, chic & modern designs. The top hotels of the world use some of most talented designers and creative teams, and going through the photographs of rooms at the W, Mondrian, and my favourite The Delano – gives me such great inspiration.
The Delano, is an all white theme so it is obviously something I will have to wait with till my daughters are a little older. But, it is one of my favourite hotel rooms that we have stayed at in Florida. The pictures don’t measure up, the views we had coupled with the all white rooms was a fantastic experience!

Hotel design ideas are very trendy and trends I like to follow, so I will keep this lookbook updated. What are some of your favourite hotel design tips?
(Yes, this lookbook wasn’t published on Monday – but next week should be on time!)
Black & white for me is timeless. I have long thought that black is too overpowering and found it challenging to incorporate in our home. After getting some inspiration, I find myself somewhat obsessed with the simple use of black & white. It’s fun to play around with different textures for different rooms, and seeing how it affects the mood for different rooms.
If used properly, I do think it can add a beautiful modern statement to a room. What are your thoughts about this kind of theme?
So who am I? I am Demi and real estate is something I am hugely passionate about. There is magic in it. Connecting two groups of people together and helping them out to get something they truly want.
A happy seller and a happy buyer is important to me. Having fun is important to me. Being able to be a part of the sale of some of your most valuable assets – is important to me.
Exciting times ahead for my family and I. We purchased a place in Oslo, and will be moving in later this year in October. I start working with an incredible team at iHus in August in Oslo, even though there are many factors for the move – the timing is perfect.
Here is a clip from the champagne popping! Cheers!
